Akkodis is seeking an Android Developer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ship new features and ensure app quality through thorough testing and debugging .
Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Android Developer job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including UX/UI and backend engineers to define, build, and deliver new features.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring adherence to Android development best practices.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure high‑quality and stable app releases.
Integrate RESTful APIs, third‑party libraries, and external SDKs to enhance application functionality.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and automation frameworks (such as Espresso, Python/NodeJS) to improve development efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8–10 years of hands‑on Android development experience.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Studio with a solid understanding of mobile development best practices.
Experience with mobile test automation frameworks (Espresso) and scripting languages such as Python or NodeJS .
