Job Description

Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Pilot Point, TX

A Day in the Role

Morning begins on the production floor, where you pull samples of raw ingredients and finished beverages for evaluation. You run routine tests, verify specifications, and immediately log results so every lot remains fully traceable. If something looks off, you flag the non-conformance and partner with production to put corrective actions in motion—quickly and clearly.

Midday may include refining a work instruction or updating a quality procedure, then stepping into an internal audit checklist or preparing documentation to support an upcoming external audit. Throughout the day, you collaborate across departments to champion a culture of food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement—always with FDA and HACCP expectations in mind.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine inspections and testing of incoming materials and finished goods against defined quality standards.
  • Record findings, escalate non-conformities, and coordinate with production to implement corrective actions.
  • Help develop, revise, and maintain quality procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in internal audits and assist with external audit readiness and support.
  • Maintain complete, accurate testing and inspection records for full traceability and compliance.
  • Work cross-functionally to promote quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with food and beverage regulations and industry best practices (e.g., FDA, HACCP).

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or a degree in food science, biology, or similar is a plus.
  • Experience in food or beverage QA/QC preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and documentation skills.
  • Clear, professional communication and the ability to work well with others and independently.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory frameworks (FDA, HACCP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software.

If ensuring safe, high-quality products motivates you, we’d love to hear from you.
