Job Description

An acute care health system located in northern Vermont is now seeking an experienced Licensed Audiologist to join their award-winning healthcare team!

The Audiologist will deliver comprehensive hearing healthcare in an acute care hospital environment. Daily responsibilities such as conducting diagnostic assessments (pure‑tone and speech audiometry, tympanometry, OAEs, acoustic reflexes), performing vestibular/balance testing (VNG/ENG), interpreting results, and developing individualized treatment plans; fitting, programming, and verifying hearing aids and assistive listening devices with real‑ear measurements; supporting cochlear implant candidacy, mapping, and follow‑up; providing tinnitus evaluation, counseling, and sound therapy; educating patients and families across pediatric and adult populations; documenting thoroughly in the EHR and managing follow‑up care; collaborating with ENT, primary care, school teams, and rehab professionals; maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating audiology equipment; ensuring HIPAA, infection control, and safety compliance; coordinating scheduling, prior authorizations, and insurance verification; and leading community outreach, hearing conservation, and workplace/school hearing screening programs to improve access and outcomes for individuals with hearing loss.

What's Needed to Succeed:

  • Advanced degree from an accredited Audiology program
  • Licensed as an Audiologist in the state or Vermont or ability to obtain
  • Prior working experience is highly desired
