Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Adhere to all MSHA regulatory and Nyrstar standards
Must have a Safety-First mindset; leading the way to safe work environment.
Promote and assist in maintaining a positive work culture
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities
Must have competencies to drill to design
Candidate must possess the ability to complete all 5 phases of the mining cycle including:
- Drilling to design
- Bolt / Bore with split feeds
- Blasting
- Material movement
- Ground support
- Utility installation

Requirements / Qualifications

5 years underground hard rock mining experience
Experience with mine specific equipment
Excel in jumbo and ground control
Must have completed all 5 phases of the miner cycle
Minimum 1 skill from previous level
Ability to obtain explosives license
7 days on / 7 days off rotating shifts
