Mortgage Loan agent

We are pursuing an practiced Mortgage Loan agent to assist members with their mortgage lending needs by analyzing loan requests and making credit decisions located on mortgage lending policy.

If you have mortgage lending practice and an existing referral base in Westchester County, we want to talk to you!


*this function is largely remote, with a focus on Westchester County, NY and will require occasional travel to our Mortgage Center in Hopewell Junction, NY.



What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

»At least 3 years of mortgage lending practice

»Existing referral base in Westchester County is highly desired

»Excellent customer service and member relationship expertise

»Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends to attend networking events, meet with candidates, and prospect for new business

What You’ll Do As The Mortgage Loan agent (Responsibilities):

»Review and evaluate information on mortgage loan documents and make appropriate loan recommendations subject to processing and underwriting

»Accurately price and qualify borrower using rate sheets

»Market the Credit Union’s mortgage lending program to companies and individuals within the real estate community

»Self-source mortgages within our lending area by developing relationships with realtors, attorneys, and other centers of influence

»Evaluate acceptcapability of loan on secondary mortgage markets

»Cross-sell other Credit Union services

»Review internal referrals for mortgage information and follow up with potential clients

»Keep informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors affecting mortgage lending

Pay: Base pay up to $50,000 (some on draw) + Commission
