Summary
A Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions on the Salesforce platform to support business processes and drive automation. This role focuses on building scalable, efficient, and secure Salesforce applications, integrating with other systems, and optimizing workflows for sales, service, and marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions, including Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components.
  • Integrate Salesforce with third-party applications and enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and middleware.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, administrators, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Customize Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and process automation to optimize business operations.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deployments.
  • Maintain Salesforce configurations, data integrity, and system security.
  • Document technical specifications, processes, and customizations for team reference and compliance.
  • Support Salesforce releases, upgrades, and environment management.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers and team members.
  • Stay updated with Salesforce best practices, features, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Salesforce development, configuration, and customization.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and Salesforce declarative tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration techniques, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware.
  • Strong understanding of CRM processes, business workflows, and Salesforce architecture.

Preferred Skills / Duties

  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Administrator, or App Builder.
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Experience Cloud.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and CI/CD processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to design scalable solutions and optimize existing Salesforce implementations.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL tools, and reporting/dashboard development in Salesforce.
