Position Title: Screen Printing Press Operator

Department Name: Production

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for producing high-quality screen-printed garments and maintaining the print quality and standards required by Techstyles and the customer. Must be efficient in order

to meet the schedule deadlines while still having high quality print jobs. Effective communication with Supervisor and Press Assistant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review order to ensure most efficient set up time.
• Recognize most effective print order, setup screens.
• Be conscious of potential color change, placement changes and effects the garment substrate have on the job schedule.
• Maintain print quality on every garment ordered.
• Minimize misprints.
• Fill out Printers Log daily and accurately.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Train assistant to print with equal or higher skill.
• Perform basic maintenance on press, when scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees.
• Capable of making little or no errors in work duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Standing for long periods of time, twisting.
• bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to crawl on floor, under press, to
• make adjustments and /or perform basic cleaning and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to work with hands.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Exposure to dirt, dust & noise.
• May be exposed to extreme temperature conditions & restricted ventilation.
• Ability to work various shifts and/or overtime is required.
