The Senior Communications Business Partner (SCBP) is a high-trust, mission-critical role with matrixed reporting to the CEO of American Modern Insurance Group (AMIG) and the Head of Marketing Communications, North America P&C . This structure enables the role to shape AMIG CEO communication priorities, drawing on Munich Re Group best practices, shared tools, and global standards, while ensuring effective execution of local AMIG strategies. The SCBP role is a strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for defining, driving, and executing the communications strategy that advances AMIG's vision and competitive position.
The SCBP will serve as the CEO's primary writer, narrative architect, and communications strategist, translating AMIG's business priorities into compelling messages that resonate across all employees.
This individual will maintain a deep command of the insurance industry, especially personal lines, AMIG's inner workings, culture, and strategic direction, while ensuring alignment and compliance with Munich Re and Munich Re Specialty communication standards and remaining actively connected to the broader Munich Re Group.
The role demands absolute confidentiality and trust, independent, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with urgency at the most senior levels of the organization.

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Princeton (NJ), New York (NY), Chicago (IL), Cincinnati (OH), or Munich (Germany). The salary range posted below reflects market variations across various locations. The offer will be adjusted per geography.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $138,400 - $169,500 , plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect the varying market conditions across different locations, with the with the higher end being more aligned with the New York job market. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
