Job Description

The Systems Testing Specialist will contribute to testing activities for the delivery and product management lifecycle of a project. This role involves assisting in the development of test strategies, creating test cases and scripts, executing various types of tests, and managing defects. The specialist will work closely with project managers, test leads, developers, and clients to ensure application quality and alignment with project timelines.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development of test strategies, test cases/scenarios, and test scripts.
- Execute all test activities, including accessibility, data, stress/load, and regression testing.
- Reconcile, record, and track system or functional defects.
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables.
- Identify test requirements from specifications and design test coverage plans.
- Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts.
- Execute manual test cases and report test results.
- Document software defects and track resolution.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and lead initial UAT sessions.
- Review user documentation and provide feedback.
- Manage and maintain defect logs, communicating defect-related issues to the project team.
- Work closely with the QA team lead and developers in triage sessions.
- Prepare test data sets that mimic real-world scenarios.
- Create and execute database queries to extract relevant data.
- Hold and facilitate test plan/test case reviews with cross-functional team members.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- 5+ years of demonstrated QA experience.
- Experience with defect tracking using a collaborative tool.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as SharePoint, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, COTS, SaaS, and Cloud applications.
