Test Engineer | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for manufactured products.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
• Document test procedures, results, and defect reports clearly and concisely.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and manufacturability.
• Monitor production lines for quality issues and implement in-process testing procedures.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues encountered during testing.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and executing test plans and procedures for manufactured products.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, performance, reliability, environmental).
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C++).
• Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting, identifying trends and root causes of failures.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) programming and maintenance.
• - Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
• - Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
• - Experience with root cause analysis techniques for manufacturing defects.
• - Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau).
