Test Engineer | Muskegon, MI

Salary Range: $73,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for manufactured products.
• Design and build test fixtures and equipment to automate and streamline testing processes.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams for root cause analysis and resolution.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing of components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate and detailed test records, including test data, failure analysis reports, and quality metrics.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and product quality.
• Validate manufacturing processes to ensure product specifications are met consistently.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in testing and validation of manufactured products, preferably in an electronics or hardware environment.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies, including functional, performance, environmental, and reliability testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C#).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) for manufacturing execution systems (MES) or similar software.
• - Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profinet, OPC UA).
• - Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) principles and tools.
• - Experience with SQL for querying test databases and analyzing test results.
• - Certification in ISTQB or similar software testing methodologies.
