Test Engineer | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for manufactured products.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on new and existing products.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and document them clearly in bug tracking systems.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test procedures and reports.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues encountered during testing.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and executing test plans for manufactured products.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools relevant to manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis and defect tracking systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) programming and maintenance
• - Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) principles and software
• - Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies
• - Experience with scripting languages for test automation (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
• - Understanding of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methodologies
