Test Engineer | Hart, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and procedures for manufactured products.
• Design and build test fixtures and equipment to automate testing processes.
• Analyze test data to identify defects, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues identified during testing.
• Document test results, defects, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with design, development, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Validate product performance against specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or embedded systems testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with scripting languages like Python or Perl for test automation.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) principles and software.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and their application in testing.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Minitab, Tableau).
• Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) in manufacturing environments.
