Nurse Practitioner

Location: Plainfield, NJ
Position: Part-Time (2–3 days per week)
Pay: $80–$90 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are hiring a part-time Nurse Practitioner in Plainfield, NJ to provide outpatient clinical care and support patient visits from assessment through follow-up. This role focuses on evaluating symptoms, diagnosing and treating common conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing when appropriate, and ensuring patients leave with a clear plan. Strong documentation and coordination with the clinical team are essential to keep care organized and timely.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments including history, exam, and clinical evaluation
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
• Order, interpret, and communicate lab and diagnostic results
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing medication plans and refills
• Develop and update treatment plans, including follow-up and preventive care
• Provide patient education and ensure understanding of care instructions
• Document visits accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
• Follow clinical protocols, quality standards, and NJ regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner (APN) license in good standing
• National board certification (AANP or ANCC)
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• Clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
